While I was out I did check on our old apple trees. After producing only 3-4 apples last year (of which the squirrels promptly ate) I was happy to see that 2011 may be a good apple year!

Harvest
Stepped out into the backyard this morning to harvest a batch of spinach and lettuce from the garden. It is very nice to have the convenience of having fresh ingredients just outside your back door. If only our cherry tomatoes could have the same schedule we could have an instant salad!
