How to meet your neighbors.
One option I have found to be very successful in meeting your neighbors, upon moving into a new house, is to trim the hedges that have been growing wild for 10-11 years.
This hedgerow is quite the noticable feature when lounging on the back deck or when walking down the sidewalk. It was critical that I tried to tame this wild beast. In one location I ended up taking 4' off the top! The neighbors were so excited they loaned me a ladder to assit in my mission.
As you can tell the trees are already dropping their leaves around here. I'm excited to see what color display we can expect to see annualy. So far the trees along the road are putting on quite a show.
